SAGES Top 21 Videos: SAGES has a video archive of the Top 21 most common laparoscopic surgeries. These are great to review the night before a case. While these videos are quality they are a little dated.

Toronto Video Atlas of Surgery: An open access library of animation enhanced surgical video. Curated by surgeons from world-class institutions and professional medical illustrators.

Online MedEd: This is not necessarily a surgery specific resource but a great site for information to help guide you through your 3rd year clerkships. If you are interested in surgery as a career then doing well on your surgery rotation is incredibly important. Online MedEd has the most high yield topics you will encounter on your rotation.

Books:

Pestanas: Pestanas is a great resource to give you an overview of high yield information related to surgery and peri-operative surgical management.

Surgical Recall: This is not a book you want to read cover-to-cover but its a great resource to review before a case to refresh yourself on common pimp questions.

Podcasts:

Behind the Knife: There are a lot of podcast out there and Behind the Knife has a lot of episodes with high yield quality material. There are a couple episodes specifically designed as a Medical Student and Intern Survival guide.

Phone Apps:

Touch Surgery: This phone app is really helpful in learnings the steps of a surgery and important anatomy. Touch surgery is a great resource to have on your phone to review in between cases.
