The National Surgery Interest Group (SIG) was designed to connect medical students from different institutions across the US who are interested in pursuing a career in surgery. Medicine is a collaborative field and knowledge should be shared. By participating in the National SIG medical student groups will have the opportunity to participate in our educational opportunities and also connect and share ideas with medical students from other schools and backgrounds.
The Founders
The National SIG was started by a group of dedicated students and educators from the University of South Alabama. The National SIG was founded with the mission of bringing students who are interested in surgery together and to provide students with guidance on pursuing a career in the amazing field of surgery.
